Five years too long

March 19th, 2008

This unjust war makes me angry. This unjust war makes me sad. This unjust war breaks my heart. And yet, I hold out hope that things can and will change.

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

The whole thing makes me crazy! My hope is that the next president will be able to end this mess and get us out of there.

Glad to see you’re still out there ;-)

Darling, it’s fantastic to hear from you. I still remember that awful all consuming feeling when I heard we were going to war. I can’t believe we entered into this and I really can’t believe we’re still there.

    Love you

I dont know you…but happy to hear from you again. Have been watching your blog for a while now.
I really feel your pessimism and discouragement. Politics is hopeless if its going to be the same.
Do people really want to change? humans hate change…I feel this election is the last chance for America.
Anyway, keep the creative spirit spinning, sending you good thoughts.

Somewhere in Texas a village has lost its idiot. I am living in Canada but still a yank, and I didn’t vote for the shrub.

    Hi Pippi,

This is my first visit to your blog. I can’t understand how the nut got voted in the first time, much less re-elected! Of course, the international election watchdogs say he didn’t, that the elections were fraught with fraud. We need to have our elections overseen the same way new democracies do!
