IT'S HERE! and my, my, my soul needed this sunny day. thinking of you-- my lawn is green (finally) and i am just KICKING myself that i missed that limerick contest. i hate to miss a chance to compose a limerick!! (even if i was never preppy in the least: there were no shortage of polo-necked t-shirts at my school, tho') have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Pippi, fellow Vermonter here. I think this late snow is out "Payback" for the longer Fall weather and the late winter we had. Although.... snow in April really isn't that unusual..... just seems to drag on.

I think the April snow in Vermont must build character. I'm also pretty sure that there's some scientific connection between the long winters of Vermont and that beautiful chartreuse green of the spring leaves. Maybe the spring leaves aren't any different in VT than anywhere else, but everyone is just so crazy from cabin fever that the colors look more vivid.

Eeeee! You're killin' me. Now I've gotta decide which fiber to get Chocobird in. I just woke UP! LOL And I LOVE that toes kitty. We had a kitty (not ours in the legal sense but he was always *here* not at the place they didn't take care of him) who was polydactyl like that. But he had more toes. We called him Toes. (I know, brilliant) He used to lay like that kitty! And he stood funny and sat funny... it seems to be a polydactyl thing.

We had 80 degrees on Tuesday. Last night coming home from school, we had about and inch or two and this morning we have five! Bah humbug. And, of course, it doesn't help my mood that my hubby and chicklings are off from school for spring break! Tomorrow is the Indians home opener. I'm glad that we didn't get tickets.

Is this the part where I complain about how warm it's been here in the Low Desert and that we've been having to run the air conditioner? Or mention the sweet smell of jasmine that comes in though the windows we leave open all night? You'll get back at me in a few months, when we're too damned hot and you're enjoying the nice summer weather.
