First, I want to thank everyone for the comments you left me on my last post. <3
Thank you! I'm sorry I haven't had time to personally thank each of you, and for that I get negative blogmistress points.
I've been pretty much lost in the world of my new camera. It's pretty intimidating for me. I haven't picked up an SLR camera in about 10 or so years. I've been taking alot of pictures like this here. Clearly, I’ve gone off my rocker.
I got some fibery shots off.

A closer look at the crack in the wall kabob WIP

If you are on my flickr list, you may want to ignore me (unless of course you have advice for digital SLR photography…) as I’m going to be uploading tons of testy shots.

I had to tidy up this area to make room for aforementioned new equipment, and Blogless Lee, looky what I found…

Those are from Rhinebeck!
I ate a few, does that make me gross? It’s okay, I tested them on the kids first. (Just kidding!)
With my tirgger happy finger, one would logically assume I have a Saturday Sky.
Humm, well, I don’t. The sky is still leaking snow, it’s gray and blah. Maybe I should go for a walk.

A good start & good luck with the SLR. We bought a digital SLR last month & I am having to re-learn what one can do. At least you can get quick feedback & delete your mistakes! Snow is leaking from the sky in Yorkshire too, but here it was spring yesteday!

Every time I read a weather report with snow and grayness and stuff, I feel a little guilty for complaining about it being too hot here. It’s been 100° here, with mostly clear blue skies, and a bit of humidity, and we’ve been running the air conditioners for the last week or so.

I love the photos. I’ve been pondering about a digital SLR to go with all the lenses I already have. The real impediment is that every time I’m ready to start shopping seriously the company comes out with a new and better model and I get caught up again, for the Nth time, waiting for the price to drop and for the bugs to get ironed out and so on.

Meanwhile, I’ve got a nice little digital point-n-push I like, so I never get panicky about having to have the new one.. I’m missing that fine desperate yearning that driven me into so many purchases in the past, including at least half my stash.

I’ll watch your example carefully;I have a feeling the yearning is starting to grow, like it’s pushed up through the ground and unfurled a set of tiny leaves. When it’s a vine covering the whole house I’m in trouble. That sounds more like kudzu than like a rational process, doesn’t it?

I’ll be glad to see some of your picture experiments - we are looking for a new camera, and I would far rather go with a model that other people like :) . And that’s a pretty good looking WIP-kebob! Belated congratulations on the book - I bet it will be a big job, but also a fun and rewarding one. I’ll be looking forward to updates on that.
