It came, it fell, it blew

February 15th, 2007

It’s done, or so they say…
The VD storm, the storm that keeps on giving.

This mound you are seeing is our car… Not an SUV, but an SOV (Snow over vehicle)

More snowy pictures on my flickr (not in a fancy set or anything, too cheap thrifty to buy a pro account..)
But they are the first 8 or so pictures.
What those pictures can’t show you is how cold it is… Currently 3f above.
Winter has arrived.

Stay warm!
XO!

Wow! Living in California makes me think we’re spoiled. It was pretty sunny today but still chill during dark for us. Stay warm and safe there! I love your yarns too btw.

Do you have the ice crust too? I can walk on top of it! The boys don’t even leave little feets prints.

We got the same thing. And today it was blustery!! The cold wind was howling and blowing the snow around. I love winter as much as the next person, but just cut down on the wind, OK?

Had I known it was only 4 degrees out on Wednesday morning in the driving winds, I probably wouldn’t have taken my 7yo cross-country skiing.

No frostbite, I’m happy to report, although at one point I thought for sure she’d give up and lie down in the snow.

    Have fun digging!

Oh yes. Same here in the Great Lakes. We’ve got just as much snow as you do! So much that the boy finally relented and busted out the snowblower, and stayed home from work on V-Day…

The movers creamed the side of my piano into a snow mound like that. Twenty years ago, in NH. Ah, memories (brrrrr…)
