Love the hat - love the yarn. Is it just me or it is hat season? I have been on a mad hatter kick! But I want to do them in the most lush materials. No plain wool for me - I made a hat for my 8 year old nephew that is Alpaca (brown) and Tussah top silk (green) - so it looks camo like. After I was wearing it around the house, I thought - you idiot - he is 8 years old. Make him one in cheap wool that he can roll around in the sand in. Even better - go buy some of that by the pound yarn at Wallie World and make it out of that so his mom can wash it a zillion times. So yes, I am keeping the hat. I am an idiot.
Happy Thursday - got a ton to do before survivor!

hi there, thanks for the comment on my blog.
i LOVE your stuff.
i SO want to learn to spin, and I'm thinking I need some of your roving and a spindle. I have a Babe spindle, but maybe yours would be better because it's heavier?
Any tips for a newbie?
