Knock knock, who’s there…..

November 9th, 2006

It’s Don Rumsfeld & he needs a job… (oh, poor Bumsfeld….)
I highly doubt that he will be standing in line at any soup kitchen.
The only thing that would have made my day brighter yesterday, is if W would have stepped down…. (IMPEACH! NOW!)
How must it have felt for W to go crawling to daddy for help with his Residency, yet again?
Watch your backs, nations of the world! We have an ego bruised leader of these here United States, and he may come after YOU next. (Espeically if you have something he wants…)
I am semi-pleased with the outcome of the midterm elections.
A woman speaker of the house!!!
But, we still have a long way to go. (How long will it take us to repair the damage that has been done these past 6 LONG, years??)
After yesterday, 27 states now have rules that dictate who can marry whom… (or, who CAN’T marry whom.)
And, that makes me crazy sad. Love is Love. Last time I checked, Love IS a family value. (Funny, no? Love=Bad; War=Good. Something is terribly wrong with that picture.)

Anyway, enough said.

I’ve got a ton of work to get done today. (Shop update tomorrow.) And Bells the Eldest has been home from school, sick…. (yesterday and today..)
I best get on with all of it.

You go girl! Tell that mama’s boy (W) what you really think!
I am just thrilled we finally have a woman as a speaker and she isn’t an simpering idiot or a ball buster - just a woman who will hopefully do a good job. As long as she has no hidden shadows that the media can find in the closets!
I look forward to your update tomorrow.

p.s. Fiber junkie Lurker who has stepped out of the shadows…. just put some yarn up on eBay until I get a site built - HELP - getting everything up and running when I would rather be spinning is overwhelming but if I don’t sell some yarn I won’t be able to walk in the door of my house! It is a shame when you finally realize you are going to have get a part time job to support your fiber habit! Input is very welcome! hollyeqq@hotmail.com

Amen. A big ole can of whoop-ass for the administration. I think the whole world is breathing a sigh of relief.

In other good news, my city (Richmond, CA) is going to be the largest city in the US with a green party mayor. It is not often that something good happens in this den of corruption. We are ruled by Chevron, our largest taxpayer (who manages to severely underpay their taxes). They spent thousands of dollars of soft money through shill “consumer” and “community” groups to re-elect our current incompetant mayor and failed. That feels REALLY FUCKING GOOD!

Hear hear! I agree, only W stepping down or maybe Cheney dropping dead from shock would have made me happier. They may not be able to repair much of the damage, but at least the next 2 years are going to be interesting! I was floored about Rummy - and thrilled about that bigoted prick Santorum. It saddens me to no end, though, that we are a country that is voting state by state to dictate who people can love. Saddens and sickens me.

I think it’s going to take many many years to repair the dammage that’s been done but hopefully Rumesfeld was a start.

As a sign of my relief at the election results, I have guardedly started listening to public radio again. For the last year or so, I had to turn it off to keep from being depressed all the time.

Once we get decent healthcare in VT (self-employed, $5K annually in premiums for a major-medical-only policy with a $10,000 family deductible–”higher taxes” couldn’t possibly be more than $5K a year!) I will be a happy woman. :-)

Check out Firedoglake for why we should wait for the impeachment to rise organically from oversight hearings. Muchl, much better. Plus, we definitely don’t want Cheney as President for even one day!
