you can fool some people sometimes, but you can’t fool all the people all the time.

happy birthday.
today also marks an anniversary of sorts for me.
on this day in herstory, about 7 or 8 years ago, i rolled a rented “thrifty” van 12 times on interstate 89. i’m no longer allowed to rent cars from thrifty. almost the dramatic changing point of my life. *almost*….

Sometime close to 7 or 8 years ago, I took had an issue with I-89. It was one of the few times I drove an SUV. I figured if I was going to northern VT in January, an SUV was a better option than my sedan. But that was before I knew how susceptible to wind the SUVs are. I got blown off the highway but fortunately stayed upright for the entire plunge down the cliff like median. I can’t imagine how terrifying your roll in the van must have been. I hope you weren’t hurt!

Wow, I’m sure glad you lived to tell about that! I can’t even imagine how terrifying that must have been.
Still visiting with mom?

Yikes, hope you weren’t hurt. That sounds really scary.
October 27, 2002 was the last time I drove. At that time I was only driving about once every 3 months, borrowing my then-husband’s car. It was a very bad day. I just decided screw it, I’m not driving anymore, and I’m just OCD enough to stick with such a “zany” vow.

Oooof. 12 times? Damn. I work with people who have traumatic spinal cord injuries. You are certainly very lucky! The number 1 cause of an SCI is a car accident.
