I love growing fruits and veggies from my own back yard. I haven't had much experience in it, but I do have a small story. Here in texas I tired to grow some tomato plants. Everything was fine and dandy and they were blooming and growing wonderfully. Yet, once the tomatos started to grow, all these HUGE catapilliars and red mean bugs came and ate everything. I maybe got seven tomatos out of the whole deal. Lesson, using pest/insect repellant is a good idea, long as it doesn't harm the environment and crop. It was heart breaking to see everything just die.

SOAP is out on DVD???? I have got to get that.

We planted our peas perhaps a bit early. We've already harvested 5. Yup, 5 pods. They were delicious. We're pleased.

Next year, when we've got some acreage to work with, the serious gardening will begin.
