sheesh! late night blogging! i fear if i don’t keep up my posting, my blog mojo will go by-bye.
then it will be weeks again with nary a word.
can’t have that!
today, with all my looming deadlines, why in the name that is good and holy would i spend all day in a car with my darling matty, and two children?.. (one of whom managed to get carsick??) oh! yarn you say? tag sales? ahhh…
we hit every tag sale we could find from here to essex junction. with only one wild goose chace in hungtion..
hungtion is very odd. the class divisions are striking. either you have lots of money, or you have none.
that was how it was when we lived out stowe way. i would see folx drive down the road in their hummers, while we were eating lentils and rice.
(i have nothing against lentils and rice, but there are only so many ways you can cook them 7 days a week.)
i digress….
we, er, i was on a yarn mission. firstly, a stop at north east fiber arts.. (she deserves no linking action, as i wouldn’t recommend that shop to my worst enemy.) if miss gultch were blond, she would work there. fooey.
AS ALWAYS, she was rude to me, and i bought not a thing. in fact i didn’t get much past the counter, when she pounced on me in her blase way to ask me if i needed help. i walked out mumbiling something under my breath that i won’t repeat here. (mainly because i’ve forgotten it)
by the time we made our way to the extra beautiful kaleidoscope yarns the kids were wild monkey people. the sales womyn was beautiful and gracious, and totally tolerated the wild wildebeests children and didn’t cringe when they RAN! around. (yes, they were running… i was so ingrossed in yarn talk with the womyn working, that i lost track of keeping them well manered.. plus, that was what the matt-ster was along for, right?????… well, no, he was in on the yarn chatter too. AYE!) anyway. we had to leave before i could pick up anything… (ie: we had to leave in a big hurry for fear of the wildebeests children destroying a koigu shall.)
*sigh* one day, one day they will be in college!
when we returned to the pippi abode, i had a great super dooper package from dayna aka the scientist of craft
behold my new putter!

there were also 100 kinds of other crafty scientist goodies in there, but my wildebeests children ran off with them promptly. i didn’t even get to read you letter dayna, until the eldest went to bed. she was clutching it like it was a rare gem. (the paper was indeed that pretty!!) i did test her out in our back yard.. (it is handy to have a inova basket!) so it got a bit dinged up. smatthew laughed at me after my first ching, and said ‘it’s a putter, it is supposed to get dinged up’ but anyhoo! it is far lighter than any of the putters i’ve used, so i have been trowing way off to the right.
for those of you who have not fallen asleep. FIBER PICTURES!
some color work blending.

i took these pictures and wrote a few words for rachel-marie’s print zine, ’spindie’.
i also got my picture taken alot today!
look! it’s me!

THIS! on the other hand IS NOT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they won’t even let me into canada.. (although, i DO fantasize about immigrating. but that part of me who desires to make things better will stay here and fight the good fight.)
so, my knitty project is almost done.. oh! yea! except for the knitting part of it. (hence my excuse need to get to kaleidoscope yarns… but, i guess i’m going to have to use something from ye ole stash.)
i’ll post some pictures of some dyepot babies tomorrow. i want to keep up my promise to myself that i would blog every day… and it is nearly midnight. (but, hell! i’ve been away from the computer, and nary answered a single email all day.~~ i’ll get on that now!)
i would also like to hug and kiss and BIG thank lovely betsy for ’splain bloglines to me reaaaal.ssllllllloooooo.like. it has made my world so much easier… extra atomic kitchens for you my dear!
