it has been raining enough lately too keep us inside at peak hours.
not exciting type of rain either, mind you…
i’m a big fan of electrical storms and violent weather.
we have had just a few claps of thunder…
but mostly plain ole rain…….

i’m starting to finish stuff up for my pippi update tomorrow….

i’ve been using my jumbo flyer for some things lately, so bigger hanks! yay for more yardage! yay for less weaving in of the ends!

it’s Friday again! time for everyone’s favorite online parade of lovely, Fiber Friday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
two hanks (because i’m a Gemini!) of worsted weight merino, totaling 316 yards of handspun birthday goodness.

not only does June mark my 33 rd birthday, but it marks the birthday of PippiKneeSocks. It has been a year since i started selling my handspun yarn. i can hardly believe it.
i wanted to do some celebratory giveaway, but i’m just too dang busy!

i’ve been playing with cables bunches these days.

not my best so far, but i like the colors.

its components were a high twist fingering/lace single with an (obviously) lower twist worsted single

matt keeps egging me on to make one that is a sport weight.
i told him if he builds me a new wheel, i will. other than that he is out of his mind.

grey and overcast again today.
only 4 shopping days left until my birthday!

i just spent a good chunk of my afternoon updating my handspun yarn gallery

i added about 86 photos, which represents 2 months worth of hanspun yarn from pippi. i wonder what on earth that translates into yardage. i’ve been busy!

i should know better than to experiment with new picture taking methods when there isn’t adiquate natural light.
but, of course, i’ll never learn such things….

i’ll keep my update color cooridinated today. ha.

actually all of the donuts at sew dorky make me want to drag the kids away from watching spaceballs & head over, in the rain to dunkin dounuts.

that reminded me that i had this picture on my camera from the other day

proving that cops are drawn to donut shops.
(and apparently i can’t resist the lure of sugar and yum either.)
