the days are speeding by!
last night i fell asleep putting the youngins to bed, and woke up with them.
this equals, nothing is getting done.
between the beautiful days (finally!) and these very demanding tots, balance is not something i have found yet.
it can be a downer, not being super mom + having a WAH/DYI biznez. it is crazy!

one most excellent thing that happened to me yesterday; i went to the little natural foods market down the street, to pick up some quick dinner fixiins (re: annies frozen pizza —–> see above —–> not super mom). one of their freezer units had a malfunction…. bad for them, good for me. cuties were 50% off! i bought all they had left! haha. (frozen corn and peas too… but that isn’t chocolaty…) so, YUM! that was truly the highlight of my day. (not a bad one, i must say!)

ummmmmm, pinky goodness. (among other things!)
and holy wow, i forgot how tough that black roving was to work with.
i think that is why i’ve been putting off ordering it.
but, i have someone in mind to make some pink and black goodness for, so, i best get on that….
also included were some darling promos from the small object

on the suggestion of miss hello, i broke out the stop watch yesterday, to see exactly how long it takes me to make stuff… (ALOT longer than i thought it did!!)
this was my time trail:

evidently, i need to do some price adjustments on my two ply, fer sure!
a faster, stronger, better wheel wouldn’t hurt either tho.
on most of it, especially the smaller stuff, i’m going as fast as my wheel will let me.
not to mention, the 2 ounce bobbins are a drag.
if anyone feels like springing for a birthday present from here! for me, i would NOT object! hah.

since it is thursday, that means, survivor and knitting! yay!

i updated pippi this afternoon.
a lot of it is gone already, snatched up before i could even get the newsletter out.

weird email junk is happening, about 5 of my newsletters bounced back, everyone at a comcast & insight addys. very strange.
i blame it on mercury in retrograde.
~speaking of that, i was going to add a “pipplets page” today, but thought better of it and i will wait until mercury has settled. i need to head some of what the universe is telling me.

now, i’m going to get rain and mud gear on the kids and walk over to lake champlain chocolates and see if they have any good deals on easter candy. (got to love these chocolate theamed holidays!)
when i was there last week they had an $80 chocolate bunny!
$80!!
granted, it was about 2, maybe 3 feet tall… but still!

i’m spending the day spinning myself some sock yarn.
some yellow sock yarn.
i’m hoping to summons the warm sun, and there by luring spring to vermont.

this week has been an odd week, creatively speaking.
i have a wealth of ideas that float in my head, but not enough time to write them down in my little green book. then a dearth looms over me while i stand at the dyepot.
not to mention, i’ve spun two entire dyelots that i’m not happy with.
since i never show those things to the world, i have a feeling this week’s update will be slim pickings.

something i did do this week, that i am happy with

about 90 yards
bulky weight.

it is a bit of nearly all of the 4958435 dyelots of choco bird.
i can’t stop plying! it is like an addiction.

the smaller lumps there are only about 20 yards each.
i don’t know what to do with those; maybe make them into pipplets, or part of a set, or something. oh! that gives me an idea! muwhahaha!

i meant to take some pictures of our mud ruts today, but i got swept up in spring cleaning. not such a bad thing.

wow! i’m having such a difficult time getting rolling with blogging.
it is hard for me to figure out how to create a blogroll, etc.
a big shout out to needlee for using small words to help me thru this change over.

hummmmmmmm, left over ice cream

i used my left overs from my ‘cherry garcia’ from fiber_friday.
not that you would ever find any left overs in a pint of b&j’s in this house.
that is why we have a plethora of strange little mama’s clever as can be, ice cream cozys laying around the house in various spots. you never know when a pint of ben and jerrys might fall from the sky. living less than a mile from one of their factories, it is a possibility. (a remote one, but hey! if it can rain frogs, maybe one day it can rain ben and jerrys!)
my lighting was terrible today. i got all kinds of goofy shadows.
does this mean i am going to have to wake up eariler to take pictures? gawd! i hope not!

even the close up is off.

i managed to get about 250 yards, worsted, out of it.
i like it alot!

and because there is always a need for more pictures!

i am not too sure what i am going to do with it, it spins up rather slubby.

2+ pounds of yarn i sent to plain mabel this week.
and lookit those beautiful photos plainmabel can take even with a late afternoon lighting type situation. color me jealous.

so bear with me, if you have seen all of these pictures already, on my live journal.
it is going to take me a bit to give this blog a flavor of it’s own. especially since i think no one is out there reading this.

ok! now i am determined to figure blogger out.

let’s see, i think my first rambiling was about my fiber friday conrtibution.

mine just came out of the dypot. hopefully it will work out better than last weeks.

i think i spun about 5 pounds of wool this week. including, but not limited yarn for the
glamscience ‘handspun yarn sets’.
i’ve owed that craftista yarn for like two months now. good thing for me she is understanding.
i’ve been perpetually behind since january.
in all of my chaos, i did manage to update pippikneesocks.

i don’t think i had a favorite dyelot this time around.
but, this yarn has a soft spot in my heart.
